MediLodge of Grand Blanc presents TRUNK OR TREAT!

I felt very independent as if I did in my own home. Everyone is positive, and the nurses and aides are wonderful!

I really looked forward to activities during the day. I enjoyed the therapy dogs and musical groups they brought into the facility. Jason my Nurse worked with me every day. He is the reason I am going home today.

"I chose Medilodge of Grand Blanc for myself because I felt this center was the best choice considering the given options. Some specific team members that stood out to me were Shane, a CNA, Elizabeth (Betsy), from the Dietary Department, and Asia, another CNA. There were also many others that I came in contact with that went above and beyond. The staff really was, in a word- stellar. They all made me feel welcomed and they kept things positive at all times."

The staff is competent and reassuring for a complex medical case. Beautiful staff and residents here. I can see everyone enjoys being here!

Mr. Harp was admitted to MediLodge of Grand Blanc on September 17, 2019 on a ventilator for respiratory failure after being unconscious for over two months. "I was so scared of not being able to breathe, my anxiety was so high. Heidi, the Respiratory Director, stood by me and helped coach me through the breathing process while the nursing staff made sure I was going to be ok. I was off the ventilator for a whole day. Each time I felt more and more comfortable with myself knowing I was able to do this! I was scared but the RT and Nursing staff calmed me down, talked me through the process and I had lots of people around me encouraging me and telling me how great I was doing without the ventilator on!" Soon Mr. Harp's trach was capped, and the MediLodge team graduated him to the step down rehabilitation unit from the ventilator unit. "The Pulmonologist pulled my trach out and I didn’t even feel it. I think very highly of the staff, from housekeeping to the big shots. Heidi, my Respiratory therapist, was excellent and encouraged me. She even bought me balloons to congratulate me on going home. I feel like I was brought back from the grave, but here I am going home. I had fun here. My wife of 53 years told me she picked the right nursing facility. I would recommend MediLodge of Grand Blanc to everyone!"

"I enjoyed the Vent Dialysis Unit, everything went smoothly. The Respiratory Therapists weaned me off of my vent very well! The Dialysis treatment has been going really well. It's been a great experience, the staff is great!"

Mother’s stay in the new addition at MediLodge of Grand Blanc was EXCELLENT! We appreciate all the help and positive therapist, and the therapy equipment for physical therapy was nice too!

All the staff has been fantastic! Especially the dietary department. The kitchen staff paid close attention to my dietary restrictions and allergies. I want to thank all the staff for being kind, gentle and accommodating during my rehabilitation stay!
